Safari tents
Outside you will find a decked terrace with deck chair, hanging egg chair, a picnic table and benches and a wood fired hot tub, all fenced inside a 3ft picket fence.
In front of your terrace is a large fire pit with three cooking grills and we supply you with a dutch oven, skillet and saucepan for use on the open fire. It's the perfect way to cook when camping.
The three Safari Tents are approximately 25-30 meters apart, giving you privacy and space, but close enough so that you may holiday with friends, both those you come with and those you make whilst here!
The living area has a log burner for cosy evenings, comfortable sofas and a dining area, complete with a dining table that converts into a pool table or table tennis table.
Your kitchen comes equipped with a 2 ring gas hob and large cool box, with ice packs regularly replenished. Drawers and cupboards are filled with everything you might need to create tasty meals. Please see our FAQ page for the full list of contents.
We have a strict 'vegan food only' rule and so no animal products have been in contact with any of the utensils or crockery and pots and pans.
Your Safari Tent sleeps up to 6 people across the 3 bedrooms. You have a king size bedroom and a twin room. These are separated by a canvas wall which can be pulled back to create an open plan sleeping area. There is also a cosy double in the cabin bed, tucked away through a secret entrance, a favourite with children and adults alike.
Through the sliding wooden door you'll find your in-tent shower room featuring a flushing toilet and a power shower complete with hydro-massage jets. This really is luxury glamping!
To make the most of the experience we recommend a digital detox, so there is no tv or wifi. However, if you need your mobile devices, there are plenty of USB charging points in all bedrooms and the 4G signal is strong.
Which Safari Tent to choose?
Kestrel is closest to the animals and the car park / entrance (190m) and the shortest walk to the onsite hospitality bus and children's play equipment. Woodpecker is the second of our three Safari Tents, 225m from the car park / entrance and 100m from the onsite hospitality bus and children's play equipment and Tawny is the last of our three Safari Tents, furthest from the animals and the car park / entrance (260m) and furthest from the onsite hospitality bus and children's play equipment (145m). Tawny is also our dog friendly Safari Tent and offers the perfect get away that includes the whole family. You don't have to have a dog to stay in this accommodation, as everything is thoroughly cleaned between guests.
Up to two well-behaved dogs are allowed in Tawny. An extra charge of £20 per dog per stay will be payable and we ask that they be kept off the furniture or that you bring clean throws with you for the sofa. Please keep them on a lead whilst walking around the site to prevent any stress for our sanctuary animals. There are plenty of countryside walks on our doorstep which will allow pooches to run free. Water and feed bowls are provided as well as a dedicated dog food cool box and spork. A dog crate can be provided too.
Whichever you choose, they are all beautifully remote-feeling with open views across miles of Fenland countryside and enjoy huge open skies in all directions.
Our woodland is home to several owls and you will often hear them at night, they may even come and sit on the roof of your tent. You will also regularly see Kestrels and Woodpeckers flying over the site as well as many other wildlife.
Please note that we recommend a limit of four adults per accommodation as we are a quiet family site, however all beds are full size adult beds.

We do not have facilities for bring-your-own camping, or for camper vans.
